Annual Donation Drive
Dear Friends of Children and Families,
Greetings!
Friends of Children and Families (FOCAF), is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by providing preschool children of low-income families with a comprehensive program to meet the emotional, social, health, nutritional, and psychological needs of the children and families we serve.
While we do this at no cost to the families, it is heartbreaking to know that we are only able to serve 11% of the students who qualify to attend. Currently FOCAF’s 6 centers serve 385 preschool children and provide home based services to 76 children in Ada and Elmore County.
Every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential and the best way to do that is to invest in their future during the first five years of life when brain development is the most rapid. Yet Idaho is one of ONLY SIX states that DO NOT provide any local or state funding for pre-school. The result of this is that 50% of our children enter kindergarten each year unprepared to learn.
As such, FOCAF is inviting our caring friends to invest in the lives of vulnerable children in the population we serve. Please know that your kind and generous contribution will be used to transform the life of a child in Ada and Elmore Counties. Any amount is appreciated and will make a huge difference.
To donate to our annual fund drive please send a check payable to FOCAF, Inc. in the enclosed envelope, or donate online through our board website: https://focafbod.wixsite.com/website, We are a 501(c)(3) organization; therefore, your donation is tax deductible. One hundred percent of donations are spent on FOCAF programs.
Please visit our website or give us a call at (208) 344-9187 if you would like to get more information and learn more about our program’s goals and accomplishments. You are also welcome to tour one of our centers, and meet the children we serve and their caring teachers and volunteers.
Thank you in advance for your support!
Sincerely,
