Annual Fund Drive
Dear Friends,
Friends of Children and Families (FOCAF) is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by providing preschool children of low-income families with a comprehensive program that prepares them to be school-ready. We do this by providing education services that help meet the emotional, social, health, nutritional, and psychological needs of the children and families we serve.
Currently FOCAF's six centers in Ada and Elmore County serve 385 preschool children and provide home based Early Childhood Education services to 76 families. While there are 3,813 children ages 0-5 years old who live in poverty in these two counties, due to our limited funding we only have 461 total slots. While we provide these services at no cost to the families, it is heartbreaking to know that out of the nearly 4,000 students who qualify, we are only able to serve 12%.
As such, FOCAF is inviting our caring friends to invest in the lives of vulnerable children in the population we serve. Please know that your kind and generous contribution will be used to transform the life of a child in Ada and Elmore Counties. Any amount is appreciated and will make a huge difference.
To donate to our annual fund drive please send a check payable to FOCAF, Inc. at 4709 W. Camas Street Boise, ID 83705 or donate online by clicking on the "Donate" button on this website. We are a 501(c)(3) organization; therefore your donation is tax deductible. One hundred percent of donations are spent on FOCAF programs such as: classroom resources and materials for the students, teacher training, parent education programs, and transportation.
